Ship Profile - Evolution - The Galapagos Islands

This modern ship brings back the elegance and sophistication of a sailing yacht from the era of 1920's with safety and convenience of the twenty-first century. Fully air conditioned, the spacious cabins have either a double or twin bed configuration, with well appointed private bathrooms. In addition, the MV Evolution has a well equipped library and video room. In addition to indoor dining, an al-fresco dining area is available, where you will enjoy the the islands' spectacular scenery over a delicious lunch or barbeque. Passengers love to congregate on the observation deck, where whale or dolphin watching is popular, or just to relax on the comfortable lounge chairs.

Ship Description:The Galapagos Yacht, The Evoluton, was built specifically for cruising in the Galapagos Islands. This luxury class yacht has three levels of cabins. The A cabins are large and cabin A-1 is the master suite at 263 squrare feet. There are two other A cabins. The C cabins are on the next deck down and below them are the D cabins. The average size of the cabins on the Evolution is 186 square feet. Most of the cabins are for double occupancy, however, Cabin C-4 is 140 square feet and listed as a single cabin. Bed arrangements vary from double beds to twin beds. There are no bunk beds on the Evolution.
Facilities on Board:
Two bars, a library, a boutique, a small swimming pool, and a saloon. The infirmary includes an MD on ship. There is a reception area and dining is both inside and alfresco. Snorkeling equipment, scuba equipment and kayaks may be available. Please request details as the National Park requirements are constantly changing.

Special Children's departures are available. Please call for availability. The Kid's Club offers special adventure programs for children including star gazing and special movie nights. Guides oriented to children are available. The lounge area has a Playstation and a variety of games for kids of all ages.
Cabin Facilities:
There are 16 cabins available as single, twin, or double cabins for a total capacity of 32 guests. There are also three suites: A1, the Master Suite, A2 and A3. All cabins feature a private a bathroom, air conditioning. Amenities include: hot and cold water, house phone and private bathrooms with shower.

CRUISE PRICES WILL INCLUDE: Galapagos cruises on the Galapagos Yacht Evolution are in air conditioned cabins with private bath. Visits to the Galapagos Island each day including all meals and tours and activities conducted by certified naturalist guides.  Soft drinks, juice, coffee and tea throughout the cruise. Use of snorkeling equipment & wetsuits.

GALAPAGOS CRUISE PRICES DOES NOT INCLUDE: Airfare between Quito or Guayaquil (round-trip) and the Galapagos Islands, (approximate cost $390 per person), Galapagos National Park entrance fees, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, tips for naturalist guides and crew or captain, all personal expenses, gifts and purchases on the ship, rental of snorkel equipment and/or travel insurance. Most ships rent snorkel equipment at approximately $30 per week.

Please request rates and availability for single cabins. Children on Galapagos cruises are always welcome and may cruise at a 30% discount if sharing a cabin with a parent(s). Children above the age of 12 pay full adult fare.

The Galapagos Islands enjoy a mild sub-tropical climate, allowing Galapagos cruise ships to operate on year round. Temperatures are defined almost entirely by ocean currents and the trade winds. In general. From December to May will be warm and sunny; and from June to November will be cool with a breeze in the afternoon.
