Ship Profile - Galapagos Legend

As of 2001, the, Galapagos Legend,  Galapagos Islands, is one of the finest ships launched into the Galapagos Islands fleet. This modern five star, adventure-style motor vessel set sail with a maximum of 100 discriminating explorers. With 3, 4, and 7-night voyages into Darwin's "Enchanted Isles", the Galapagos Legend offers fine naturalist cruises in deluxe accommodations.

With over 2,700 gross tons, the Galapagos Legend has all the amenities of larger cruise liners, despite the fact that she is small enough to provide her passengers with the close proximity to nature that characterizes the Galapagos cruise experience. Designed with the Galapagos tours in mind, the Galapagos Legend is sleek and comfortable.

The marine life in the Galapagos Islands is well ...legendary. Galapagos penguins cavort along the coastlines while sea lions play and schools of manta rays glide beneath the surface. Among the reefs there are shimmering schools of fish, sea turtles, marine iguanas and so much more!

Ship Description:Those who know the Galapagos Islands and the ships that sail there, are certain that the "Legend" is one of the finest expedition cruise liners in the islands. The Legend has a length of 300 feet, or 91 meters, with
five decks, large and spacious common areas, well appointed cabins, suites, a conference room, and an infirmary with medical staff and an MD onboard. With a crew of over 50 and 6 naturalist guides, the Legend sails the Galapagos waters with some of the finest safety equipment and modern navigational equipment available.
Facilities on Board:
An on-deck bar, observation decks and jacuzzi, as well as air conditioning, fax, 110V, internal telephone, Snorkeling gear, environmental music, life vests and boats, dinghy, television, video, public restrooms, 220 volt adaptors, email, and onboard medical facilities. On board there is an auditorium for conferences, several social areas, a dining room offering Ecuadorian and international cuisine, and a coffee bar. The swimming pool is designed with expansive sun decks and observation areas. The cuisine is unexcelled in the Galapagos. Great chefs offer a host of international and Ecuadorian dishes for your enjoyment. In the Galapagos tradition, dinner dress is never formal. The Galapagos Legend employs a team of highly skilled, highly trained naturalist guides. These guides are multilingual. Many of them speak up to four languages. .

Junior and Legend Suites offer spacious well appointed cabins with large picture windows, private bathrooms with shower, climate controls, hairdryer, and hot and cold running water, and private lockers for security

Per Passenger Prices Include: Full board, beverages included with meals, shore excursions and lectures with naturalist guides, in addition to transfers to/from the ship in Baltra.

Items Not Included: Round trip airfare from the mainland. Service tips for the ships' crew and the naturalist guides. The National Park fee of $100 is not included and may be pre-paid or paid in cash in the Galapagos. US dollars are accepted.

Important Information: Single and triple cabin occupancies may be available upon request. Children of and between the ages of 7 and 11 receive a 25% discount when sharing with one parents or guardian(s). One child per cabin is permitted. Children under 7 must receive special permission to board. Prices are subject to change without notice and are subject to availability at the time of booking. Some discounted fares may be available for cruise bookings made within 60 days of the sailing date. Single supplement is 50% except on high season holidays, Christmas or Easter weeks.
